Abstract

Relevance. The relevance of this research is determined by the general trends of world development, namely, the transition to an information society, which is characterized by the use of information, communication and digital technologies in all spheres of human life.

Aim. The purpose of this article is to present the key aspects of the developed information model for managing network interaction of preschool units and to justify its effectiveness in the framework of practical research.

Methodology.  The research involved the following theoretical methods: comparative-contrastive analysis, classification and grouping, generalization of the results received. The following practical methods were also used: questionnaire, survey, modeling, and methods of mathematical statistics.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance of this research consists in the development of the model of managing the network interaction of preschool units of the educational complex as well as the methodological support of its implementation.

Results of the research. The practical results of the study of the information culture of teachers of preschool units after the introduction of the information management model of the network of preschool units of the autonomous non-profit organization secondary school Academic Gymnasium “Thinker” are presented.

Conclusions. The presented qualitative and quantitative indicators in the field of interaction management of preschool units of the educational complex on the basis of the information model have confirmed its effectiveness.

Abstract

Relevance is due to the lack of scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical developments aimed at studying hiking trips as a tool for the educational work of the curator of the student group.

Aim is to develop and implement an algorithm for conducting a hiking trip aimed at improving the general cultural level of development of students, their respect for nature, and the formation of cohesion of the study group.

Methodology. The paper analyzes the use of a hiking trip as a type of educational work carried out by a curator of the student group in an educational institution of higher education. It is specified that it is the educational function in curatorial work that should prevail over others, for example, scientific or supervisory.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. It is proposed to prepare for a hike with a supervised group on the basis of four main stages (planning, preparation, conduct, evaluation and reflection), each of which is disclosed in more detail in the text. The purpose and objectives of the hike within the framework of educational activities are defined, while one of the tasks is to create a success situation for students in a hiking trip as a factor in the development of their personality and the formation of the cohesion of the study group. As a recommendation, the instructions “Behavior in the Baikal National Park” and “Rules of conduct of the study group on a hike” have been developed, which can be used during a preliminary briefing. There are also recommendations for organizing situations of “success” in a group during a hike.

Results. It is determined that the use of hikes as a means of implementing the educational function of the curator of the student group is given unsatisfactory attention both in practice and in the scientific literature. In connection with the above, the authors have developed and proposed an algorithm for organizing and conducting a tourist hike on a specific example of a hike with a group.

Conclusions. The goal has been achieved; an algorithm for conducting a tourist hike by a curator of the student group has been developed and implemented.

Abstract

Relevance is due to the contradiction between the importance of the educational resources of school mediation services for working with students and the insufficient use of these opportunities in educational organizations.

Aim. The article was prepared in order to present the effectiveness of the work of the School Mediation Service for the use of its experience by educational organizations in order to improve the quality of educational work with students, in particular: to reduce the indicators of conflict and aggressiveness of participants in educational relations (on the example of reducing bullying indicators), the formation of rational judgments among students about the correctness of accepting help in difficult situations, the education of civic engagement among the young mediators themselves.

Methodology. The methodological basis of this study was: a humanistic approach that determines the understanding of a person as a unique, open, active system capable of change and development in the process of pedagogical interaction (Sh.A. Amonashvili, I.P. Volkov, E.N. Ilyin); modern conflict management concepts that provide an opportunity to predict the development and resolution of conflict situations without turning them into a conflict (V.I. Andreev, N.P. Anikeeva, A.G. Bolshakov, N.V. Grishina, V.I. Zhuravlev, A.JL Krupenin); the paradigm of modern education (B.G. Gershunsky, E.D. Dneprov, V.I. Zagvyazinsky, V.V. Kraevsky).

Research methods: theoretical: theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem; study and generalization of the experience of interaction between participants in the educational process. Empirical: questioning, survey.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The goals of school mediators’ activities are systematized, the main difficulties and obstacles in the work of the School Mediation Service are identified, the indicators of the effectiveness of the work of the School Mediation Service and

the conditions for improving their activities are determined. New empirical data are presented that allow drawing conclusions about the educational effectiveness of the work of the School Mediation Service.

Results of the research. The work of the School Mediation Service serves to reduce the indicators of conflict and aggressiveness of participants in educational relations (on the example of reducing the indicators of bullying), contributes to the formation of rational judgments among students about thecorrectness of accepting help in difficult situations, and contributes to the education of civic activity among the young mediators themselves.

Conclusions. The development of school mediation services is an important social innovation, demanded by life, contributing to the normalization of the socio-psychological climate in the school. The activities of the school mediation service play an important role in the prevention of school conflicts. It is important that students learn to take responsibility for building positive relationships with others, for a culture of interaction, respect the rights of peers and adults. At the same time, there is a need to improve the activities of the Services themselves. The conditions for improving the activities  of the Mediation Services are: analysis of existing difficulties through the study of local experience, the development of methodological recommendations, and the training of school workers in the mediation approach.

Abstract

Relevance. In the conditions of digitalization of secondary education and distance learning with the use of ICT, the issue of saving the socio-psychological health of a student is particularly acute, which causes the need for a deeper study of the student’s educational work process and the search for effective approaches to solving this problem.

Aim of the work is to study the process of educational work of a child in the conditions of distance learning, to analyze, summarize and formulate recommendations for improving the effectiveness of education and saving the socio-psychological health of schoolchildren.

Methodology. Methods of theoretical research – analysis, comparison, generalization; methods of empirical research – questionnaire, study and generalization of pedagogical experience; methods of mathematical and statistical data processing – method of comparing quantities.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The process of distance learning with the use of digital technologies during the quarantine at school will be effective and environmentally friendly if the experience of scientific and methodological work of distance learning with the use of digital technologies is studied, analyzed and summarized; recommendations for teachers, parents and students of comprehensive school are prepared, and students are taught to work productively and environmentally friendly in new conditions (how lessons are organized, feedback is provided, independent work and homework are performed, the main features of the work and rest regime are taken into account, prevention of diseases of students is provided, prevention of fatigue and overwork is carried out). The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that it presents recommendations for parents aimed at preserving the socio-psychological health of their children in the conditions of distance learning in the secondary education system. These recommendations contain: hygiene of educational work and recreation; socio-psychological recommendations; didactic recommendations; educational recommendations.

Results. In the course of the study, the following results were obtained: the features of teaching schoolchildren in the conditions of distance learning with the use of ICT are revealed; it has been established that distance learning has a significant impact on the socio-psychological health of schoolchildren; the productive experience of distance learning with the use of digital technologies is considered; the main conditions for the success of such training are identified; the main difficulties in distance learning for parents and students are revealed; ways to overcome them are identified; competencies for learning in new conditions are considered and recommendations for improving the skills of teachers, to help students and their parents are created on their basis.

Conclusions. The study of the process of educational work of a child in the conditions of distance learning with the use of ICT by the method of included observation and the analysis of scientific sources on the topic of research and personal observations allows us to draw the following conclusions. During distance learning, parents should pay special attention to the following aspects. 1. It is necessary to observe the hygiene of educational work. 2. It is necessary to sensitively monitor the psychological comfort of the child. 3. To master the technical side of the distance learning process and teach the child all the necessary skills. 4. Abstract

Relevance. The article is devoted to the topical issue of mastering subject knowledge and skills in literature in secondary school. The analysis of the results of the Unified State Exam in literature clearly demonstrates the level of development of subject competencies by students.

Aim of the article is to consider problem areas in studying literature, which are determined by the deficits of graduates when performing the Unified State Exam.

Methodology was the analysis of typical mistakes that students make when performing the Unified State Exam. All tasks of the Unified State Exam are systematically and consistently considered in terms of the complexity of their implementation. Special attention is paid to the analysis of tasks for comparing works of art, as well as difficulties in mastering theoretical and literary concepts.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. Special emphasis in the article is placed on the analysis exam participants’ detailed answers. As a convincing example, excerpts from the works of graduates are given, which clearly demonstrate the typical mistakes of students. The article is of an applied nature, its scientific novelty and practical significance lies in the development of methodological recommendations designed to help overcome deficits in the development of literature, which makes the article interesting for a teacher of literature.

Results of the study clearly demonstrate the maximum difficulties in the tasks of the test part and in the typology of detailed answers.

Conclusions. The analysis of the obtained results makes it possible to actualize problem areas in literature and outline ways to overcome them, which makes the article interesting for a teacher-philologist.

Abstract

Relevance. The problem of scientific and intuitive aspects in determining the size of paintings has existed since the beginning of creativity and is relevant to the present. How to determine the format of the future picture: mathematically or intuitively? Moreover, this question concerns the compositional solution of a certain work in the work of painters.

Aim of the research: to theoretically substantiate the relationship between the scientific and intuitive methods based on establishing the size of the paintings in the creative process of painters.

Methodology. The article considers the process of interaction between the scientific and intuitive methods in the process of the creative activity of painters. The main attention is paid to identifying traditional and non-traditional formats of the picture plane and their geometry as the main factor in the harmonization of a work of painters.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the combination of the scientific and intuitive method as an important educational and creative factor contributing to the harmonization of the artistic structure and composition of works of a pictorial nature that have not previously been systematically studied from the standpoint of their size and proportions, which in ideal form can be built according to the principle of the golden section. In the course of the study, the theoretical foundations of a single creative process were determined, consisting of a smooth transition from miniature to easel, and then monumental composition. The article on the research problem analyzes the scientific research of L. S. Vygotsky, N. N. Volkov, В. В. Koreshkova, P. A. Kudina, B. F. Lomova, A. A. Mit’kina, V. A. Kuzmicheva, I. P. Pavlov, I. P. Shmeleva, L. V. Shokorova.

Results. As a result, it was determined that a change in proportions in one format or another causes a change in the semantic and ideological nature of the picture, which affects the entire structure of the construction of a work of art. As a result, further creative process can be suspended or, on the contrary, get creative development.

Conclusions. Classes aimed at solving this problem expand the outlook of students, activate their work with literature. They contribute to the desire of students for cognitive activity, since the scientific and intuitive aspects require deep consideration as the most important factor in educational and creative activity when creating a work of art in the process of teaching painters.

Abstract

Relevance. The article is devoted to the process of teaching reading professionally-oriented foreign texts in the system of language training of future teachers of a foreign language.

Aim is to determine and identify the place of a professionally oriented text in the system of language training of a foreign language teacher.

Procedure and methods. The main methods of research are: observation, interpretation, the analysis of scientific literature.

Scientific novelty and/or theoretical and/or practical significance. The research results contribute to the theory of teaching foreign language reading and the methodology of teaching foreign languages.

Results. The article presents the main characteristics and features of professionally significant reading and professionally significant text, and also substantiates its place in the language training system. A description of the constituent elements of the content of teaching professionally significant reading and the characteristics of selecting texts for professionally oriented teaching foreign language reading for students of linguistic university is given.

Conclusion. Teaching professionally oriented reading of foreign texts in the system of language training of a future foreign language teacher is of an integrated nature, because it is aimed, firstly, at obtaining and interpreting professionally significant foreign language information, and secondly, at forming knowledge, skills and abilities of students in the course of professional education. This fact determines one of the main positions occupied by professionally oriented reading and a professionally significant text in the system of language training of a future foreign language teacher.

Abstract

Relevance. This subject seems relevant, since the modern higher school is currently tasked with forming the student’s personality that is able to independently ensure its continuous development in the field of professional activity.

Aim. To substantiate the role of extracurricular reading in the formation of students-cadets of the skill of independent work with authentic professionally-oriented texts, to determine the real needs of cadets in this form of foreign language teaching.

Methodology. At the search and diagnostic stage, scientific and methodological articles published  in Russian peer-reviewed scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science and in world scientific journals were analyzed. The article provides a critical analysis of the sources devoted to the independent work of students, based on the generalization of the analysis results, a connection is established between the extracurricular form of teaching a foreign language and the process of formation of students’ independent work skills. In order to determine the value orientations of cadets regarding the extracurricular form of work with authentic professionally-oriented texts, a survey of students is conducted, in which 72 cadets took part.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. This research contributes to the solution of the scientific problem associated with the formation of the skill of independent work with authentic professionally oriented texts in a foreign language among high school students.

Results. The results of the study made it possible to identify the problems of teaching professionally-oriented reading that teachers face, as well as to suggest possible ways to solve these problems.

Conclusions. Extracurricular reading of professionally-oriented texts contributes to the formation of independent work skills among students of a military university.

Abstract

Relevance. Today we are seeing the increased interest to China as a partner in political, trade, and cultural relations. The requirements for specialists who speak this language have increased many times, but the methodology of teaching Chinese character writing at language universities has remained at the level of grammar-translational approach, which cannot meet the current demand of the state and society.

Aim. To identify the sources of linguistic and cultural content of Chinese hieroglyphic signs, to identify the system of creating hieroglyphs. For this purpose, we have set tasks to reveal the conditions for the appearance of hieroglyphs depending on the source of linguistic and cultural content, to analyze the ways of creating hieroglyphs on specific examples, to identify the difficulties of modern analysis of hieroglyphic script.

Methodology. On the basis of a retrospective analysis, the sources of linguistic and cultural content of hieroglyphic signs are identified, with the help of system analysis, the classification of ways to create hieroglyphs is determined, with the help of studying and translating literature and sources, examples confirming the above classification are found.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. This study allows us to outline ways to solve the problem of the quality of teaching students Chinese character writing. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of such a cultural phenomenon as the hieroglyphic sign. The linguo-culturological approach to the study of characters contributes to a better assimilation of characters by students, which means it raises the level and quality of subsequent communication with native Chinese speakers. The practical significance of this work lies in its focus on improving the linguo-culturological side of linguistic education at the university.

Results. At the search and diagnostic stage the texts of dissertation research, articles published in Russian peer-reviewed scientific journals of the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, as well as world scientific journals included in the Scopus database were analyzed. The analysis of the works revealed the insufficiency of research in the field of linguo-culturological approach to teaching Chinese hieroglyphic writing, which allows us to speak about the relevance of the presented work.

Conclusions. This study allows us to outline ways to solve the problem of the quality of teaching Chinese hieroglyphic writing to students using a linguo-culturological approach. A deeper understanding of such a cultural phenomenon as a hieroglyphic sign is revealed. Such a position in relation to the hieroglyph contributes to a better mastering the hieroglyphs by students, which means it raises the level and quality of subsequent communication with native Chinese speakers. Abstract

Relevance. In the context of a new reality the Russian economy experiences a certain deficit of highly qualified young scientists. This requires improvement of foreign language teaching methods for training future psychologists and teachers in cross-cultural communication in the English language academic discourse.

Aim is to develop the training module “Formation of academic and digital literacy in the English language academic discourse: analysis of an academic article” to teach Master’s students majoring in psychology and pedagogy the basics of academic literacy. The main content of the study is the analysis of theoretical and methodological concepts of the foreign language academic and digital literacy formation. The paper presents the researchers’ views on the content and components of the concepts under study, acting as elements of competence profile of Master’s students in the psychology and pedagogy. The authors consider the technologies of CLIL and ICT as the tools for forming universal communicative and digital skills through teaching academic and digital literacy in the framework of the “Foreign Language” discipline. The author describes the training module “Formation of academic and digital literacy in the English language academic discourse: analysis of an academic article” and presents the results of its testing. Recommendations on the effective integration of the module into the educational process are given.

Methodology. General scientific and special methods were used in this study: dialectical, analysis and synthesis, comparison and analogy, systematic, comparative analysis, observation, interviews, statistical methods (Student’s paired t-test).

Scientific novelty and/or theoretical and/or practical significance of the article lies in the theoretical substantiation of pedagogical conditions of the module application, providing the creation of conditions that simulate the natural professional environment of scientific activity. The practical part of the research can be used in the foreign language teaching of Master’s students or humanities students aimed at forming the basics of academic and digital literacy.

Results. Based on the implementation results of the developed training module, the expediency of its use in the training of Master’s students in psychology and pedagogy has been proved. The module helps to develop competences of academic and digital literacy in the English language academic discourse, which is proved  by statistically reliable results of expert evaluation, as well as self- and mutual evaluation of the experimental study participants.

Conclusions. It is concluded that foreign-language academic and digital literacy competencies are important for young scholars. It is advisable to build the educational process in the English language at the university on the basis of technologies of CLIL and ICT, which is proved by the effectiveness of the module “Formation of academic and digital literacy in the English language academic discourse: analysis of scientific article”, implemented in the practice of the university foreign language education for students of technical and natural sciences specialities.

Abstract

Relevance of the research is caused by the need to reveal the specifics and features of teaching mathematics to students receiving a second higher education at a technical university.

Aim of this work is to show the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in the framework of teaching higher mathematics to students of the second higher education in a technical university, to reveal the specifics of teaching methods and approaches, curricula, the role of the teacher in the system of such education.

Methodology. In the course of the study, the survey and questionnaire procedures of students receiving a second higher education were used, the results obtained were processed and analyzed. Lectures and practical classes in mathematical disciplines were conducted according to the programs developed by the authors, taking into account the specifics of the second higher education.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The peculiarity of the educational process, its organization and implementation during seminars, lectures, taking tests and exams is shown. The importance of methodological techniques and approaches in teaching mathematics to second-degree students with different levels of mathematical training is indicated.

Results. The specifics and features of teaching, methods and approaches, curricula in the framework of teaching higher mathematics to students of the second higher education in a technical university is shown, the role of the teacher in the system of such education is revealed, the analysis of the students’ questionnaire is carried out.

Conclusions. When working with students receiving a second higher education at a technical university, it is necessary to take into account the specifics and peculiarities of teaching them mathematics, taking into account their mathematical training, using methods and approaches that lead to the assimilation of educational material.

Abstract

Relevance of this study is due to the existing practical problems of the effectiveness and safety of the actions of police officers in an emergency situation and the need to improve the pedagogical methods of special training implemented by educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Aim of this study is to identify problematic aspects and ways to improve the tactical and special training of police officers, taking into account the tasks of operational and service activities facing them.

Methodology. To solve the tasks and test the hypothesis of the study, a set of methods was used: interdisciplinary analysis of scientific and methodological literature, comparative analysis of the studied problems, analysis and synthesis of empirical data.

Scientific novelty and / or theoretical and / or practical significance. It consists in establishing a set of pedagogical conditions that allow for the formation of competencies for the lawful and effective use of tactical and special skills in emergency circumstances of operational and service activities.

The aspects that determine the relevance of improving the organizational and methodological foundations of teaching tactical and special training are theoretically substantiated. The results of the study are of practical importance for the organization of the process of training police officers in the basics of tactical and special knowledge, skills and abilities.

Results. The study showed that research in this direction should be focused on the development of specific practical methods for the formation of psychological readiness of the student to use the acquired tactical and special skills in a real situation. At the same time, an individual approach to working with students is important. Attention should also be paid to the selection and preparation of all necessary textual and visual materials, technical training tools, especially in the conditions of remote work with cadets and trainees.

Conclusions. The author concludes that the basis of tactical and special training should be based on the practical experience of the past years, both positive and necessarily negative. A mandatory aspect is the synthesis of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which allows you to apply the latter in various conditions of service and operational activities. The main way to develop the required skills is the method of multiple repetition, with gradual complication of the tasks, and their unexpected change.

Abstract

Relevance is determined by the need to train teachers of information technologies and programming languages for the system of extended professional education.

Aim. To substantiate the application of formative assessment in the process of training specialists in the field of information technology and programming languages for teaching in the system of extended professional education.

Methodology. The main content of the study is an analysis of the results of a formative experiment conducted on the base of an organization of extended professional education specializing in information technologies and programming languages.

Scientific novelty / theoretical and/or practical significance consists in substantiating the expediency of using formative assessment in the process of training specialists in the field of information technology and programming languages for teaching in the system of extended professional education. The results of the research contribute to the theory and practice of teaching and training teachers of information technologies and programming languages for the system of extended professional education.

Results. The results of an experiment aimed at identifying the influence of formative assessment on the process of training specialists in the field of information technology and programming languages for teaching are considered. The study confirms that the use of formative assessment in the described conditions has a positive effect on the effectiveness of learning, expressed as the readiness of students to work independently as teachers, if it is built in accordance with the main features of adult learning, formulated by such researchers as M. Knowles, S.G. Vershlovsky, A.A. Verbitsky, M.V. Klarin and others.

Conclusions. It is shown that such training directly depends on the use of formative assessment.
