Abstract
Purpose. To identify the pedagogical principles of forming «research independence» personal qua-lity. Methodology and Approach. The author made a theoretical analysis of the sequential actions, means and conditions for the formation of students’ research independence in the framework of the educational process and activities beyond its framework. The author’s edition of the main features of the concept of «research independence» is presented. Results. As a result of theoretical analysis, it was concluded that in order to precede more efficiently the process of formation of students’ research independence it is necessary to comply with a certain algorithm of actions. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The theoretical significance consists in identifying a consistent algorithm of actions that contributes to the effectiveness of the formation of students’ research independence. The author’s edition of the main features of «research independence» contributes to a more meaningful understanding and detailed study of the personality quality in question.

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to justify the need and students ability to work with complex texts in biology education. Methodology and Approach. To achieve this goal, theoretical methods were used: analysis and synthesis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical, including methodological literature; description of work experience Results. The presented methodological methods of organizing work with scientific or educational texts on biology are aimed at understanding by students difficult to master information and will allow students to achieve certain positive results in education and self-knowledge Theoretical and Practical Implications. Theoretical significance of the study: in determining the role of the methodology for organizing work with complex texts for students to understand information difficult to master. The practical significance of the study is in its possibility of using the developed and described methods of working with complex biological information by biology teachers, graduate students and students of pedagogical universities.

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this paper is to identify the possibilities of using traditional mobile applications along with for developing language strategies in teaching university students a foreign language. Methodology and Approach. The authors analyzed scientific works devoted to the subject and examined the experience of using traditional mobile applications and augmented reality technologies in language teaching. Results. The article describes different types of applications and study activities for forming and developing communicative language strategies. Theoretical and Practical Implications. Theoretical material on the issue of interpreting the “communicative language strategies” concept is generalized. Possibilities of using mobile applications, as well as augmented reality technology, in communicative language strategies development are given

Abstract
Purpose. To substantiate an approach to the typology of educational skills, taking into account the specifics of the development of the subject activity of students in teaching geography. Methodology and Approach. The author performed the analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodological research, the practice of school functioning, the requirements of the Federal Educational Standard, which allowed to identify the basic macrostructures of the subject activity of students and to identify groups of skills. Results. The article clarifies the terminology and concretizes the composition of each group of skills from the position of the requirements of the FES, the interdependence of the selected groups of skills is revealed. Theoretical and Practical Implications. As a result of the conducted research the new typology of educational abilities in school geography which acted as a content basis for creating the model of students’ subject activity development was made. The article is addressed to methodologists, teachers and researchers in the field of methods of teaching geography.

Abstract
Purpose. The article reveals the methodological approaches applied to the discipline on studying printed graphics to solve the characteristic visual errors / difficulties of students arising during training. Methodology and Approach. At theoretical and practical lessons the students mastered various methods of printing graphics: from relief printing - linocut, to the technique of intaglio - dry needle. Results. The methodological basis of the research was in the systemic-structural method of studying the art of printed graphics, where from simple introductory exercises on engraving the students were mastering more complicated level of making an artistic graphic work. During the course of study the intermediate results of students, who showed positive dynamics in mastering the skills of printing graphics, were studied. Theoretical and Practical Implications. This pedagogical study offers the use of competence-based approach, taking into account the specifics of the discipline of “Graphic Technology” with the use of a variety of materials and graphic tools while teaching students-bachelors in the field of “Graphic Design” to use various methods of printing graphics, such as: monotype, linocut, and the technique of dry needle. Printing graphics is presented as a discipline for the developing and forming students’ creative abilities, with their further use in project activities.

Abstract
Purpose. It is to consider architectural drawing, its features and specific features on the example of “old masters”, as well as the characteristic features of these relationships at a new stage of formation of aesthetic qualities of drawing, and to reveal its value in the modern educational process. Methodology and approach. The author analyzes the architectural drawing of the “old masters” on the example of significant classical works, which act as unshakable models for studying and imitating. The method of artistic analysis and synthesis highlights the relevance of the problem of architectural drawing of our time and the form of its solution. Results. The analysis showed that in the modern educational process, saturated with technical, digital means of communication, architectural drawing, made directly by the hand of the artist, acquires special importance. In this regard, it is necessary to support academic education at the appropriate level. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The theoretical significance of the topic under study lies in the field of practical experience, which shows that the periodic purposeful appeal to the basic, time-tested, classical forms and the study of its foundations, will increase the professionalism of the future architect and expand his vision in the field of modern architectural world order. The study of classical historical monuments, which are based on full-scale architectural drawing, will be useful in a number of disciplines of the humanitarian cycle, in a holistic cultural direction, forming the culture of the future architect.

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to consider the problems of integrating the content of education. Methodology and Approach. Some possibilities of using an integrated approach in studying the morphology course of the modern Russian language are considered. Results. The study showed that the relationship between language and thinking, due to the essential properties of the object of study, allows you to master the course of morphology using the knowledge gained from the field of logic. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The results of the study can be used in developing methods for integrated study of disciplines at a university.

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this article is to determine the attitude of foreign students to the study of the Russian language, to identify the leading motives of students, as well as the difficulties encountered in studying Russian as a foreign language outside the language environment. Methodology and Approach. The main content of the article is an analysis of the results of an empirical study conducted among students of Japanese universities. Results. The study showed that, when choosing the Russian language for study, most students were motivated negatively. Students who really wanted to learn exactly the Russian language are dominated by integrative motivation based on the interest to the Russian culture. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The results obtained may be of importance for the optimization of the educational process and the effective teaching Russian to foreign students.

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose is to study the ten years dynamics of the practical use of the Open Resources on the example of the Open Courses in architecture and art at Moscow Institute of Architecture, as well as to compare the transformation of theoretical ideas with the world practice of use. Methodology and Approach. The paper presents the results of the comparative analysis of theoretically ideas justifying the value and limitedness of Open education Systems with fifteen years of practice using them at the US, Netherlands and Russian Universities. The research material is the scientific publications of Russian and foreign scientists, Internet statistics data, empirical experience of the Creation and use of the Open Courses in Architecture. Results. The study allows us to draw conclusions about the potential in using Open Education to popularize the innovative achievements of architectural science and new areas of architectural activity, expanding the audience of additional architectural and art education, organizing the activities of structures of supplementary architectural education for children and adults. The limiting factor in the expansion of the Open Education System in the field of architecture is the high initial cost, indirect evidence of the educational and economic efficiency, low legal culture of the users in the field of authors’ rights. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The article formulates the conditions for expanding the Open Education system in architecture and art, identifies trends in the development of theoretical ideas in this area.
