FINAL QUALIFYING PAPER OF A STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COSTUME DESIGN AS A REFLECTION OF THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY’S IMPACT AND REQUIREMENTS

Abstract

The author considers the variability of defining the themes of students’ final qualifying papers as a reflection of students’ personal and professional qualities, using the Department of Costume Design at the faculty of Fine Arts and Crafts of Moscow State Regional University as an example. The article names systematization of the priority directions and compliance with the concept of modern higher education during as a stage of forming students-designers’ professional competences while performing the final qualifying papers. The author refers to the parameters of self-selection, creative work criteria and trends of modern and historic costume design. On the experience of the Department of Costume Design the author analyzes the economic justification of students’ project activities during the qualifying papers preparation, as well as the main problems and the ways of creative ideas realization.
