Cultural and educational space of a small town as a condition of self-realisation of arts school leavers

Abstract

The article considers the problem of self-realization
of arts school leavers in educational and cultural space
of a small town. Self-realization in a small town is a major
problem for graduates because of the peculiarities of its communal
life and undeveloped infrastructure. The author makes
a special focus on the relevance of the topic and suggests
some opportunities for further successful development of
arts school leavers. Unfortunately at present the graduates
of music and art schools for children do not always have an
opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills after graduation
and afterwards they are not involved in the cultural and
educational context of their town. The main reason for getting
artistic education is not in just acquiring knowledge but the
skill to apply this knowledge for self-comprehension, self-determination,
self-improvement and self-realization.
