Abstract

The paper presents the experience of designing and introducing into learning process the interactive system of
problem-solving tasks, which is an effective tool for teaching the theory of probability and statistics, and a means of developing
mental activity of students in engineering and humanities training. The interactive learning system includes an expandable
bank of teaching, educational and research objectives presented in the form of a classification matrix based on gradation of
problem complexity and depth. Such classification allows of monitoring and controlling the whole thinking process and establishing
cross-disciplinary, inter-cycle and integrative conceptual relations in particular.
