The problem of oral speech assessment at the final exam in the ninth grade

Abstract

The article deals with the problems
of working out the rating scales which allow
to check all the language skills during the
final Examination in a foreign language in the
ninth grade. The research reveals the most important
criteria of oral speech assessment and
the system of measure of a learner's real level
of skills and knowledge. Preliminary check-up
shows that the use of these rating scales allows
the teacher to step aside from traditionally subjective
assessment and to put a mark basing on
measuring rather definite language criteria.
