Diversity of continuing education in information society

Abstract

In information society universities
are faced with the challenge of delivering education
in a new context in which information
and communication technologies are expected
to play the key role. Education responds to challenges
of the 21st century with a new concept of
education throughout life. The paper focuses
on innovative forms of teaching and learning,
such as open education, distance and blended
learning which are based on new approaches,
tasks and criteria in the system of continuing
education.
