P.F. Kapterev: Kids Education in a Family
Abstract
The article reveals the concept of
the family education by P.F. Kapterev - the
main aims, ideas, principles and methods. The
problem of cooperation of a family and school
in the educational process is presented from the
authors point of view. The aim of the education
he considered to be the perfection of the
human nature. The pedagogue distinguished
the two mortal sins of educators - the disregard
of age and persons peculiarities. Children
must be prepared to life struggle so they
must be morally strengthened by educators.
There should be the close and living connection
between a family and school in the educational
process. The pedagogue raised the problem of
building up the class into the fellowship and the
school into the community of pupils and teachers.
The respect of the kids personality is the
core principle of the whole concept.
