THE ROLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN SOCIAL MOBILITY IN THE USA

Abstract

The article is devoted to the system of higher education in the USA, the role of higher
education in social mobility and the reasons of its decreasing; the ways to create equal
opportunities for the young people irrespective of their social position and income by the
support of low-income families, grants and subsidies, the increase of the quality of education in
poor and national minorities schools.
