Issue of learning Russian possessive construction «U kogo yest chto» and other related constructions by persian-speaking students

Abstract
Aim. The purpose of this article is disclose the features of difficulties that Persian-speaking students face when learning Russian possessive construction «u kogo yest chto» and other related constructions.
Methodology. The authors analyzed the corresponding structures in the Persian and Russian languages and the grammatical features of the Russian structure. Also the problems that arise when teaching the construction «who has what» were classified based on the data collected from an associative experiment.
Results. According to the conclusions made by the authors of the article, the main difficulties in studying the Russian construction «who has what» for Iranian students are associated with the discrepancy between the corresponding structures in the Russian and Persian languages, which reveals itself in different aspects.
Research implications. In the final part of the article, suggestions are formulated to help develop methods used to teach persian-speaking students the construction «who has what» and other related constructions.
