Features of teaching mathematics to students of the second higher education in a technical university

Abstract
Relevance of the research is caused by the need to reveal the specifics and features of teaching mathematics to students receiving a second higher education at a technical university.
Aim of this work is to show the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in the framework of teaching higher mathematics to students of the second higher education in a technical university, to reveal the specifics of teaching methods and approaches, curricula, the role of the teacher in the system of such education.
Methodology. In the course of the study, the survey and questionnaire procedures of students receiving a second higher education were used, the results obtained were processed and analyzed. Lectures and practical classes in mathematical disciplines were conducted according to the programs developed by the authors, taking into account the specifics of the second higher education.
Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The peculiarity of the educational process, its organization and implementation during seminars, lectures, taking tests and exams is shown. The importance of methodological techniques and approaches in teaching mathematics to second-degree students with different levels of mathematical training is indicated.
Results. The specifics and features of teaching, methods and approaches, curricula in the framework of teaching higher mathematics to students of the second higher education in a technical university is shown, the role of the teacher in the system of such education is revealed, the analysis of the students’ questionnaire is carried out.
Conclusions. When working with students receiving a second higher education at a technical university, it is necessary to take into account the specifics and peculiarities of teaching them mathematics, taking into account their mathematical training, using methods and approaches that lead to the assimilation of educational material.
