В статье рассматривается возможность и необходимость инкорпорирования межкультурного аспекта в уроки английского языка студентам неязыкового вуза, что обусловлено потребностью студентов правильно выстраивать отношения с иностранными ровесниками. Автор выделяет понятия межкультурной коммуникации, такие как ценности, привычки, стереотипы, предубеждения и другие, необходимые студентам для более глубокого понимания того, как правильно общаться с представителями других культур, и предлагает этапы работы над материалами и упражнениями, которые способствуют пониманию и формированию необходимых для межкультурного общения качеств.
The article discusses the possibility and the need to incorporate the cross-cultural aspects into the lessons of English for students of non-linguistic universities. This necessity is due to the students’ interest to cross-cultural communication with their peers competently. The author singles out such notions of cross-cultural communication as: values, habits, stereotypes, prejudice and others, which are necessary for deeper understanding of the representatives of other cultures offers the system of tasks and exercises which provide students with cognitive and communicative skills for cross-cultural communication.
