Статья посвящена раскрытию интеллектуального наследия выдающегося испанского гуманиста, педагога-философа эпохи Возрождения. Основное внимание автор сосредоточил на работах, связанных с педагогической деятельностью Х.Л. Вивеса. В статье систематизированы и проанализированы его основные трактаты. Ценными являются идеи Х.Л. Вивеса об организации образования, школ, специальных образовательных учреждениях, школ для бедных детей, сирот-подкидышей. При создании статьи использовалась литература, ранее не известная отечественной педагогике.
Article is devoted to the intellectual heritage of the outstanding Spanish humanist, the teacher and philosopher of Renaissance. The author payed much attention to the works connected with Vivess pedagogical activity. The main treatises are systematized and analyzed in the article. The author considers the most valuable Vivess idea about the organization of education, schools, special educational institutions, schools for poor children, orphanages and foundling hospitals. The article is based on the literature which is not yet known to domestic pedagogics.
