Раскина, оказавшим влияние на формирование социаль-
но-педагогических программ в сеттлементе «Халл-Хаус».
Основное внимание в данной работе сосредоточено на
взглядах Джона Раскина на художественное образование
и его роль в социальном реформировании, на недостат-
ках академического образования и необходимости актив-
ного обучения. В статье представлен сравнительный ана-
лиз суждений Джона Раскина и Джейн Аддамс, а также
рассмотрена специфика реализации идей Джона Раскина
в сеттлементе «Халл-Хаус».</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to John Ruskins ideas
that influenced the formation of social and pedagogical programs
in the settlement «Hull-House». The main emphasis of
this work is on John Ruskins views on art education and its
matter in the social reformation, on defects of academic education
and necessity of active learning. The article presents a
comparative analysis of John Ruskin and Jane Addams opinions
and specific character of realization John Ruskins ideas
